Breaking Dawn Question!?!? Help!?

When Jake imprints...and the others it means that they will grow up with the child to be her babysitter-brother-friend-boyfriend then they will get married. But its basically like calling dibs on something. Or if their soul mate isn't a baby but its a women of their age they just get to know her and then eventually they marry. Once they imprint they cant go back...XD hope i helped without ruining the book for you. I already finished it ^^
