Could the mosquito tone have broken my sound card?

I played the mosquito ringtone on my laptop's speakers, and ever since, I've only heard a bunch of crackling. If I try to play the mosquito ringtone again, it works. I know te problem isnt just my speakers because it does the same thing when I use my headphones (i never played the tone through the headphone jack, but I still get nothing but crackling). I have a toshiba satellite m55-s135 laptop if that helps. Is there any way to fix this?
